Xin Pin provides 5 axis CNC machining services, especially for some large workpieces with complex and special requirements part. We can satisfy customer requirements needed to meet their project schedule. And it is one of the ways to achieve tight tolerance and high quality in prototyping and production.
The 5-axis machine has two more axes than its traditional counterpart. The "five" refers to the number of orientations the cutting tool can move. The extra two allow for advanced rotation and movements to find the best connection between the cutting tool and the material. More notably, this simultaneous operation also provides the option to process up to five faces of the part in one pass.
There are 3 types of 5 Axis CNC Machining normally.
a. Head/Head
The rotary axes of this type of CNC machine are situated in the head. They are made with a 5-Axis apex which is on a particular platform and moves through a fixed table that keeps the workpiece in place. So you don't need to worry about the tool interference of the machine spindle head. This gives the apex the chance to move around a specific piece making 5-Axis CNC machines the best for the production of large parts. They usually have limited movements in the rotary axes and tilt which is a result of their design.
b. Table/Head
In this type of machine set up, one of the rotary axes is situated in the rotary table and the other one in the head. The revolving axis is located in the head and has a restricted range, while the rotary shaft is found in the table and its scope is not limited. Since the part rests on the rotary axis, this arrangement is limited to the number of items it can produce. One way this type of setup is slightly advantageous compared to the head/head type is in its ability to consistently revolve the part without the worry of reaching a specific limit.
c. Table/Table
Here, machines have all the rotary axes located inside the table and also have a restricted scope in the revolving axis. The range in its rotary axis is not limited. This type of machine arrangement has a minimal work envelope compared to the other types. Others are fitted with definite motors which makes them work fast.
We have heavily invested in state-of-the-art machinery and programming software, all to the benefit of our production quality.
Our professional technicians make use of the advantage of 5 axis CNC machining to create the perfect solid part without much effort.

5 Axis CNC Machining utilizes two additional rotary axes to shape the part by one set-up. It operates with less manual "hands-on". It is obvious the advantages in the development of the part compared with other manufacturing methods.
1. Simplified and Minimized Setup
With two additional rotary axes, it can reach tiny and more complex angles with fewer steps to create complex geometry. It is more efficient and more productive.
2. No Need for Complex Fixtures
5 Axis Machining provides a great ability to make complex shapes in a single setup.
3. Fast Removal of Material
The 5-axis machine allows cutting tool to remain tangential orientation to engrave to lower cycle time and cost to reach the fast and accurate production.
4. Better Surface Finishing
There is no repositioning of the parts that the scrapped and the risk of error is reduced. You will find that the surface effect is perfect after machining without deburring and polishing.
5-axis enables the machining of very complex parts by one programming which is no need the additional manual operation, especially popular in the aerospace and automative industry.
5-axis machining refers to the use of a computer numerical control (CNC) to simultaneously move cutting tools or parts along five axes. The cutting tool continuously moves along every axis so that the tip is always perpendicular to the part.
